Bigger Glutes Workout For Bad Knees (NO SQUATS/LUNGES)

Last week a friend offered me 18 classes of her remaining kickboxing package that she signed up for.

FREE kickboxing?

YES please.

I have always loved kickboxing. There’s something about being able to punch and kick the heck outta’ something that’s not going to kick or punch you back!  I love it and the sweaty workout that goes along with it.

But I had to ask, why in the world was she not doing the classes herself and willing to give them to me for FREE?

She explained that she liked the class, but the second time she went there was a trainer at the club who practically berated her because she wasn’t doing the exercises exactly as they told her to do. 

My friend has bad knees, so she couldn’t do the squats or box steps and wanted to modify some of the exercises to avoid the knee pain.

But the trainer didn’t offer any help in modifying the exercises, and instead insisted that my friend do the exercises exactly as demonstrated. 

Obviously my friend was pissed, but she’s too nice of a lady to tell them how she really felt, so she was willing to give them to me and forget about the whole thing. (ARHHH it’s stories like this that makes me want to give this trainer a piece of my mind.)

Anyways, I know my friend isn’t alone with her knee pain. In fact I had knee pain for many years in my twenties ‘cause I wore high heeled shoes too much in highschool and college. (I subsequently smartened up in University, as walking all over campus in heels was a ridiculous idea.)

I also have clients who have knee pain who need me to modify exercises for them, especially the booty specific exercises.

So this workout is made specifically for all the mamas dealing with bad knees who want to build a booty, but don’t know how to do it without the knee pain that goes along with typical booty building exercises like squats, step ups, lunges and deadlifts.
