I love when I see my mom in the summer time, cause she’s always armed with tonnes of fruit or vegetable to give me straight from a local family garden or a fruit orchard of Chatham-Kent County. This week she gave me two grocery bags full of the biggest peaches I have ever seen. At first I was afraid my hubby and I wouldn’t be able to eat them all before going bad…but that thought was short lived cause we just kept eating them up! This morning some of the peaches were used in this yummy smoothie recipe.
Serves: 2 smoothies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1 huge peach plus 1 regular sized peach ( or 4 regular sized peaches)
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 2 medium-sized kale leaves – do not include hard spine (or 1 handful spinach)
Method:
- Place all ingredients in a blender in the order as listed above
- Blend until smooth and no chunks remain
- Serve and enjoy
